Compatibility and charging speed
The Tesla Wall Connector works with Tesla vehicles and many other compatible EVs. It can deliver up to 22kW and 32A where the vehicle, property supply and installation support it. Many single-phase homes will use a lower configured output. The actual charging rate is limited by the vehicle’s onboard charger and the available electrical capacity.
Tesla smart features
Wi-Fi connectivity and the Tesla app provide charge scheduling, usage information, access controls and supported remote diagnostics. Firmware updates are delivered over Wi-Fi. Power Management can adapt charging to a limited household supply, while power sharing can coordinate multiple Wall Connectors where the selected equipment and installation support it. Vehicle access controls apply to Tesla vehicles.
Installation requirements
Before installation, we assess the incoming supply, cut-out rating, consumer unit, earthing arrangement, cable length, parking position and Wi-Fi coverage. The charger requires a correctly designed dedicated circuit, suitable protective devices and load management where needed. DNO notification or approval is completed where applicable.
The Wall Connector can be installed indoors or outdoors on a suitable wall, or on an appropriate pedestal where agreed. Surface-mounted and discreet cable routes can be considered; concealed routes may require additional building work or pre-installed ducting.
Every installation is tested and certified to BS 7671, commissioned at the correct current setting and connected to the Tesla app where required. We will also explain everyday charging, scheduling and access settings.
We assess supply capacity, earthing, cable routing and charging demand before installation. Scheduled charging, power sharing and Tesla ecosystem features can be configured where supported.
Includes site assessment, circuit and protective devices, DNO notification where required, load management, testing, certification and app setup.
