A considered finish for Wimbledon homes

Wimbledon and Raynes Park properties can present very different charging routes: a charger near a garage intake, a detached parking area reached through a garden, or a street-facing facade where fixings and cable containment need careful thought. We plan around the construction of the building and the available parking space.

Premium chargers such as Andersen and Simpson & Partners may offer finishes better suited to particular exteriors; other customers will value smart tariff scheduling or solar integration instead. Our recommendation starts with the electrical design, not a single preferred manufacturer.

Neat exterior presentation

Agree cable containment, enclosure location and a discreet route suitable for the wall construction and access.

Garages and detached parking

Check supply location, submains and any groundworks or trenching before deciding on a charger and cable size.

Single- or three-phase supplies

Confirm what is actually available; a 22 kW-capable charger does not create three-phase capacity where it does not exist.

Home EV charger installation

For a driveway or garage we review finish options, cable reach, charging schedules and the position of any communication equipment or CT monitoring.

We install suitable Type 2 charging equipment and assess dedicated circuit protection, current capacity and location before the unit is ordered or installed.

Workplace and landlord charging

For offices and small estates in Merton, we can assess multiple chargepoints, private bays, access restrictions and phased charging capacity.

For business and shared residential parking, any installation depends on capacity, access rights, meter ownership and applicable permissions.

STEP 3

Install and verify

We fit the charging equipment, complete inspection and testing, and address any required DNO notification or application.

STEP 4

Commission and hand over

We demonstrate charging and app functions and provide the appropriate electrical documentation.

How much will installation cost?

Premium fascias or concealed cable storage can increase the supply price, while long garden routes, trenching or a detached garage can increase installation labour and materials. We itemise these rather than using a blanket area surcharge.

A detailed price follows a scope review or survey; the charger, electrical work, VAT and any necessary additional works should be identifiable in the quotation.

Electrical design and certification

EV charging work is designed around BS 7671 (18th Edition), including Section 722. We assess open-PEN conditions under Regulation 722.411.4.1 where relevant and residual-current protection under 722.531.3.101, with attention to the charger manufacturer's instructions.

Inspection, testing and certification are included as applicable. DNO notification or prior approval, and England's Part P requirements, are addressed where relevant.

EV charger brands we can install

Charger selection depends on your supply, parking space, vehicle, energy tariff and any existing solar or battery system. Explore the individual options below.

Frequently asked questions

Can you route an EV charger cable discreetly on a period home?

Often, yes. The options depend on building fabric, parking layout, access and any conservation or listed-building constraints. We agree a suitable route before installation.

Do you install EV chargers in Raynes Park SW20?

Yes. We cover Raynes Park SW20, Wimbledon SW19 and the surrounding Merton area.

Does a 22 kW home charger require three-phase power?

Yes, full 22 kW AC charging requires a suitable three-phase supply and a compatible vehicle. Most single-phase homes are designed around a lower charging rate.

Which charger is best for a Wimbledon driveway?

We compare available charging power, smart-tariff compatibility, cable storage, appearance and future solar requirements before recommending a suitable model.
